News THine and iCatch Technology Showcase Omnidirectional Perception Solutions at Automotive World Japan 2026

2026.01.19 Release

Tokyo (January 19th, 2026 ) - THine Electronics, Inc., THine Electronics, Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 6769, “THine”), a global leading fabless semiconductor supplier of innovative mixed signal LSI and analog technologies as well as valuable AI/IoT-based solutions and AI/data servers, today announced its collaboration with iCatch Technology to showcase next-generation omnidirectional perception solutions at Automotive World Japan 2026, taking place January 21~23 at Tokyo Big Sight. The joint demonstration highlights THine’s THCV241A and THCV244A SerDes solutions working with iCatch’s V9 AI Vision SoC to enable 360° surround view and omnidirectional obstacle avoidance for automotive, drone, and robotics applications.

The showcased solution integrates THCV241A (Serializer: 1 MIPI to 1 V-by-One®HS) and THCV244A (Deserializer: 4 V-by-One®HS to 1 MIPI) to support scalable, low-latency multi-camera architectures, enabling reliable high-bandwidth video transmission from distributed cameras to a centralized AI vision processor. Combined with iCatch’s V9 SoC, the system delivers real-time, multi-directional perception essential for automated driving and autonomous systems.

iCatch’s V9 AI Vision SoC is designed for high-performance edge perception, featuring a 4 TOPS NPU, a dense stereo-matching hardware accelerator supporting up to FHD at 45 fps, a 2.5D GPU, and 4K60 video processing capability. These capabilities allow the platform to perform real-time depth estimation, surround view synthesis, and obstacle detection with low latency and high reliability.

Weber Hsu, President of iCatch Technology, added, “V9 is designed as the core of omnidirectional perception, integrating AI compute, stereo depth, and high-resolution video into a single platform. Together with THine’s SerDes solutions, we are accelerating the deployment of automated navigation deployment for automotive, drone, and robotics systems.
Anthony Chiang, Regional Manager at THine Electronics, stated, “By combining THine’s high-speed SerDes with iCatch’s AI vision SoC, we enable scalable, omnidirectional perception architectures that simplify system design while meeting the performance and reliability needs of automated driving across automotive, drone, and robotics platforms.”

Visitors are invited to experience the live demonstration at iCatch Technology’s booth W5-32 during Automotive World Japan 2026.
