V-by-One® HS Overview

V-by-One® HS is high-speed serial interface technology with up to 4Gbps/lane, developed and launched by THine Electronics, Inc. in 2008. V-by-One® HS contributes smarter and faster data transmission compared with conventional interface standard, such like LVDS. The specification has been widely licensed by THine and hundreds of the licensees of V-by-One® HS have enjoyed this technology and cultivated the value of high-resolution and/or high-speed data transmission system with THine. Televisions, displays, projectors and multi-function printers(MFP) are the examples of the applications.

 

V-by-One® HS License Program

V-by-One® HS License Program ended in Apr 2023 with its replacement “V-by-One® HS plus”. “V-by-One® HS plus Standard” has two modes: 1) “HS plus Mode” with data rate of up to 8Gbps/lane and 2) “HS Mode” fully compatible to V-by-One® HS. Since “V-by-One® HS plus Standard” has such two modes, V-by-One® HS License Program ended and new users are supported by “V-by-One® HS plus” License Program. No, your company does not have to join in the License Program in the case that you use the IC products of THine or third party authorized by THine as V-by-One® HS licensee.

Please consider to join in “V-by-One® HS plus” License Program and use its “HS mode”. The “HS mode” is fully compatible to the latest version of V-by-One® HS standard.

Our company wants to develop a new V-by-One® HS IC product. How can we get the right?

Please consider to join in “V-by-One® HS plus” License Program and use its “HS mode”. The “HS mode” is fully compatible to the latest version of V-by-One® HS standard.

Our company buys V-by-One® HS IP product and implements it to our IC/FPGA product. Do we have to join in the License Program?

Yes, your company has to join the License Program since you have to get rights to use our intellectual property rights including but not limited to V-by-One® HS Standard.
