THine has established its subsidiary at Qianhai Special Economic Zone in Shenzhen to boost its business in Chinese markets

TOKYO (May 29, 2013) -- THine Electronics, Inc. (JASDAQ: 6769), the global leader in high-speed serial interface and provider of mixed-signal LSI, today announced establishing its subsidiary, THine Electronics Shenzhen Co., Ltd. at Qianhai Special Economic Zone in Shenzhen to boost its business in China markets as the 100% subsidiary of THine Electronics Hong Kong Co., Ltd. This is the first approved case to the foreign electronics company from the Authority.

1.Purpose of the subsidiary
The purpose of establishing THine Electronics Shenzhen Co., Ltd. is to boost THine’s business in China markets by accelerating sales and marketing with THine’s support to customers in terms of developing new technologies and customers’ products. THine operates its business based on its mid-term strategy TACK2Win.(*) especially to expand its business in the growing markets of automotives, industrial equipments, high-definition displays, and camera systems. In addition to this establishment, In addition to its customer supports of high-speed serial interface technologies and image signal processing technologies by the new subsidiary, THine plans to expand its branches in China based on such necessity.

(*) “TACK2Win.” or TACK to windward to win shows THine’s mid-term strategy to boost its business “Toward Asia: China, Taiwan, and Korea,” enhancing its business portfolio to multiple markets including multi-functional printer / document processing, amusement, industrial equipments, and automotives. The name of “tack” is also after the yacht sailing method to windward.

Plans for Qianhai Special Economic Zone envision four modern service industries, including finance, modern logistics, information service, and science and technology services, along with other professional service sectors. THine’s new subsidiary is approved to establish the entity in Qianhai Special Economic Zone, as the first foreign electronics company. THine plans to accelerate Chinese business with incentives from this special economic zone.
