THine releases its new dual band LNA for cellular phones

THine Electronics, Inc. (JASDAQ: 6769) released today its new dual band - Triple Mode LNA(*1), THG3501, as one of its family products of THiRFPERSONAL¡ÊTM¡Ë for cellular phone markets, distributing engineering samples from the fourth quarter.

THine develops SiGe BiCMOS-based RF products in order to obtain easier integration of IP (intellectual property) as well as better productivity with less cost of goods sold than usual GaAs-based process. Hereafter, THine has capabilities to integrate several IPs for new growing markets, since it has developed IPs for essential three RF units of cellular handsets, for instance, buffer amplifiers for synthesizer units, PA driver amplifiers for transmitting units, and LNA for receiving units.

THG3501 is developed for PDC(*2) 800MHz/1.5GHz and achieves good features of low power consumption, low distortion, low noise, and high power gain. In the near future, THine will plan products for the third generation cellular phone markets such as UMTS(*3) and W-CDMA(*4).
