THine Releases High-Speed ADC for High Resolution Images THine's original Intershuffle(TM) technology highly improve quality
THine Electronics, Inc. (JASDAQ:6769) announced today the launch of a new high speed Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), THC7216A, suitable for high resolution images of flat televisions, high definition televisions, LCD monitors, projectors, etc. THG7216A will be distributed from the second quarter.
THC7216A provides all functions needed in digitizing analog video signals. THine's Intershuffle(TM)(*1) technology highly improves conversion quality, restraining quality of image from falling because of noises made by conversion from analog signals to digital signals. THC7216A also integrates THine's original circuits that monitor synchronous signals in order to correspond analog synchronous signals from various media source. In addition, it can correspond a wide range of frequencies from NTSC(*2) to UXGA.
THine's original processing units that monitor synchronous signals to achieve high quality conversion. In addition, its high bandwidth amplifier and high-speed ADC with THine's original architectures allow to capture a wide range of video signals from NTSC to UXGA resolution.
Intershuffle(TM)¡¡Technology
Analog-to-digital conversion, in general, raises quantum errors in converted digital signals that are caused by differences between original analog signals and converted digital signals. Many systems with ADCs such as flat televisions, LCD monitors and data projectors often cause visible phenomena of gradated sharpness patterns or unexpected stripes or colors on flat panel displays. Intershuffle(TM) technology, developed by THine, visibly improves conversion quality drastically by interpolating and spreading conversion noises in the function of time variables. This technology cannot be achieved unless THine has accumulated ADC know-hows for many years. THine is applying to file patents related to Intershuffle(TM) technology.
THC7216A integrates a high bandwidth amplifier, three channels, i.e., RGB, of 8bit ADC amplifiers with auto calibration, and line locked PLL(*3) with low jitter. It enables custom engineers to simplify designing/constructing analog-front-end of flat televisions, LCD monitors, and data projectors. It is expected to reduce customers' parts lists and designing lead times, and reducing space for related circuit boards.
THine plans to develop successive products for corresponding higher resolution and supporting higher quality in flat televisions, HDTV, LCD monitors and data projectors, expanding the markets of THC7216A and developing various succeeding products.
