THine Unveils CELLSAFE(TM) Technology,
Preventing Cell Phones from Inner Overheat

THine Electronics, Inc. (JASDAQ:6769) unveiled today the industry's first achievement CELLSAFE(TM)(*1) Technology, that can prevent cell phones from inner abnormal heating.

In some cases past cell phones internally overheated up to 100¡î (or 212°F) or more when glitches occurred in RF transmitting circuits of handsets. CELLSAFE(TM) is THine's newly developed IP (intellectual property) that can monitor the battery related signals to find all the situations of glitches and operations in RF transmitting circuits of handsets that might cause inner overheating. This new IP is the industry's first achievement that enables handsets to halt RF transmission in order to prevent abnormal heating.

Past cell phones used monitoring software to find abnormal situations to real time adjustment according to RF transmitting/receiving situations. CELLSAFE(TM), releasing cell phones from such software, enables cell phones to allocate their CPU power to other useful applications and also as reduces resource of software developing of cell phone makers.

In addition, CELLSAFE(TM) can monitor cell phones all the time while past ones with monitoring software cannot operate when cell phones are powered off. Furthermore, this technology provides such options by using a simple additional circuit that cell phones can achieve unique functions to stop power output from cell phones' batteries when CELLSAFE(TM) circuit finds abnormal situations, resulted in users' protection from abnormal heating always. CELLSAFE(TM) has THine's original circuit design. THine is applying to file patents related to this technology.

CELLSAFE(TM) has developed as useful IP with various applications in the 2G/2.5G PDC, GSM/GPRS, and the 3G handsets (wideband CDMA, etc.). THine plans to develop new products by integrating CELLSAFE(TM) with other RF-IPs and license the IPs to other semiconductor manufacturers that aim to achieve win-win situations with THine by integrating it in order to contribute to expand superior cell phones in the both aspects of performance and safety.

THine will develop and launch the following RF products utilizing analog RF-IPs.
