Press Release
THine discloses an advanced 10-bit ADC with 200MS/s technologies at A-SSCC
At the prestigious second Asian Solid-State Circuits conference (A-SSCC) 2006 this week, THine Electronics, Inc. (THine, JASDAQ: 6769) is presenting a paper on "A 10-bit 200MS/s Pipeline A/D Converter for High-Speed Video Signal Digitizer."
The advanced analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is fully suitable for high-speed video signal application. It has a precisely accurate 10-bit pipeline ADC core for digital gain control that supports a color-depth of 1.07 billion colors. In addition, the ADC achieves 200MS/s that is much faster than full HD televisions' usual requirement of 150MS/s. The ADC also has outstanding features of low noises. Its integral nonlinearity (INL) and differential nonlinearity (DNL) at 200MS/s are 1.05LSB and 0.55LSB respectively. Based on THine's advanced mixed-signal technologies, the amplifiers, comparators, and switches are optimized for CMOS process and support its high performance in basic features. THine will promote new products for high definition television markets and imaging markets that require high-speed and high-accuracy digitizer functions, using these newly developed circuit technologies.
About A-SSCC
A-SSCC, established in the last year, is an international conference by Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) regarding to the significant roles in Asian area of its existing International Solid State Circuit Conference (ISSCC). The second A-SSCC will be held in Hangzhou, China, from November 13th to 5th, 2006. A-SSCC is not only held in Asian area but also has a feature of encouraging collaboration between academics and industries, offering an original session of "Industry Program" that allows to demonstrate of new products. At the second A-SSCC, Mr. Jun-ichi Okamura, Director Business Development Unit I, will take a role of co-chair for an industry session.
